What Change Feels Like!

I have been pondering recently, on where I would be now if I hadn’t decided to change my life in 2004.

I would have still been working in the same industry I had first entered in 1980 that’s for sure, because I didn’t really know any other.

That would also mean that I would have been working with the same colleagues I had first met back in 1980!

I would have still been performing the same job description I first started in 1992, where target pressure was the everyday norm.

It wasn’t all bad though I have to admit. When I first entered the industry I thought I had struck gold! I had the opportunity to work abroad and to see a bit of the world. I had spells at sea, spells on dive vessels, travelled in helicopters, when I had rarely even travelled on a train before!

I even had a couple or three promotions along the way. However, all the work blends into the same old thing somewhere along the line and becomes stale.

When you see all the profits of your own labour going into the bosses pockets, when you perform the same old tasks over and over again with the same results, when you don’t get recognised for your achievements because you were just doing your job, then it’s time to recognise it’s the end of the road!

I could have carried on in this situation, there is no doubt, until I retired. But if I had, it would have meant giving up the ghost and losing an intrinsic part of me that is essential to my wellbeing.

I’m talking about the SPIRIT. The Spirit would have died, or at least become redundant!

I’m sure it was already on the way, so when the opportunity came to jump ship and to change my life around I grasped at it with both hands. What a nervy time that was, but you know what, I was alive with anticipation, gratitude, and an excitement that I realised had been missing from my life for a long time!

Above all I was FREE.

I had my freedom from the drudgery of a life of routine, freedom from the rush-hour, freedom from office politicking, freedom from bosses without compassion, and freedom from the path that I myself had freely embarked upon, but no longer desired.

Now I am free to let loose my emotions, free to love humanity and to associate with people whom feel likewise. Free to be an internet entrepreneur, or to choose any other path I so desire.

As it happens, I now find my desire and passion in life aligned with being a free entrepreneur, where it is essential to grow your spirit to grow your business.

To have the burning desire to grow and to be open to all ideas, to learn something new every single day, to view life as one of limitless possibilities, to have the imagination to see the world as one harmonious home for all humanity, and to have the passion to share all these ideas with as many partners as is possible.

This is what change feels like, to have a new burst of life where anything can and does happen, where to feel your emotions is to feel connected to your spirit, and where dreams are converted into plans of action.

Anyone has it within them to change their world, to swap the mundane for the exciting;

  • to feel change in the same way;
  • if you have dreamt of a better way;
  • if you have the desire to see the world with a fresh vision;
  • or if you want to be a free internet entrepreneur…

…then you must take action that will move you in the direction where you can achieve the changes you desire!
